About This Project

Fall down seven times, stand up eight. This ancient Chinese proverb is what Get Up Again is all about. It’s the ‘never say die’ attitude, meaning getting back up every time you get knocked down, fall down, and/or trip along the way. Even if you start feeling down and out, you have to get back up on your feet physically, mentally and emotionally.

This is not always easy to do but songs like this from Flaw help make it possible. They were lumped in with a massive group of Nu Metal bands that gained mainstream success in the early 2000’s, but I always felt they stood out from many in that sub-genré. Yes, their sound can be dark but they are more uplifting which is nice to hear amongst so many “depressing” metal bands. I always thought their sound to be well balanced somewhere between Tool, Nothingface, Disturbed and Sevendust.
