About This Project

When I think of “power” and heavy metal, Pantera is the one band that stands out. Pantera was a landmark metal band hailing from Texas that spit truth, justice, and their version of the American way, everywhere they went. You love them or hate them but damn if they didn’t go unnoticed. Pantera was in your face and brutal and their album Vulgar Display of Power is the album that ignited them. It has to be a top 10 metal album.

With thunderous bass and drums, Phil’s raspy scream-yell-sing vocals topped with Dimebag’s insane riff attack, this band was special. They were parts new and old-school borrowing elements of classic rock but taking those elements to much darker and heavier places.

Mouth For War was the head-turning first track that set the tone on Vulgar. At the time of this release, there was no cooler band. It’s aggressive, honest, and completely motivational. It’s all about determination.
